Op het 18 Septemberplein werd in 2010 een winkel(centrum) opgeleverd, dat volgens de voorspellingen doorzichtig zou zijn en het gezicht op de omliggende bebouwing (de wederopbouwpanden op het plein, de Lichttoren en de Bijenkorf) nauwelijks zou verstoren. Het vijf en twintig meter hoge bouwwerk is een creatie van architect Massimiliano Fuksas uit Rome.<br /><br />
